SERENDIP collects its signals at Arecibo Observatory from the long antenna and receiver on the right.




This is a shot of the receiver control room at Arecibo Observatory, where the signals are amplified before they are sent to the SERENDIP instrument.




Here is the SERENDIP instrument in action at Arecibo Observatory. The diagonal line on the screen is a drifting test signal being run to check the system.



SERENDIP IV Installation Pictures
