Breakthrough Listen data are stored in technical formats that require specialized software to analyze, and file sizes can be several gigabytes. Before downloading files from our public archive, we recommend you familiarize yourself with how the data are stored. A good place to start is with the educational materials provided by Berkeley SETI Research Center. You can find documentation relating to the backend api here.

Length limit: All queries are limited to return at most 500 files, so please try to be specific
Advanced options: Click "Advanced Search Options" for more search options, such as limiting by telescope, file type, position ,etc.
Alternate names: To search by an alternate name for an object (e.g. Andromeda Galaxy), type in the alternate name and click the suggested alias
Exact search: Prepend the query text with ! to match target name exactly
Regex: Prepend the query text with / to match target name using regular expressions
Wildcards: use _ to match any single character, % to match any string
Forced update: Type Enter in the search box at any time to force update
