02 August 2005 Goldstone Observatory

BEE2-based 128M channel Spectrometer Installation at DSS-13 JPL/NASA Deep Space Network, Goldstone Observatory.

The BEE2, IBOB, and ADC boards, planked for transport.

Approaching DSS-13, "Venus Station", where the spectrometer was installed.

The two dishes of Venus Station.

The spectrometer, looking slightly sleeker than usual for some reason; it'll be analyzing spectra from here for the next few months.

The Wideband Digital Spectrum Analyzer, a full-rack, wire-wrapped, ECL-based SETI spectrometer (circa 1991) whose task will eventually be carried on by the BEE2.

The Spectrometer Team from left to right: Andrew, Pierre, Henry (Me), Daniel.
Not pictured: Aaron (off getting married), Dan (The Boss; taking the picture).

34 meters is pretty big!
